You`re probably surprised to receive this letter from a complete stranger. I read a book about your life and I decided to write a letter to you.
Fist of all, I`ll introduce myself to you.(I am not so good at English so I have written this letter with the help of my dictionary. I hope you`ll overlook my mistakes in my letter, if any) My name is Lee, Younghee and I am a Korean. `Younghee` is my first name and `Lee` is my family name. So you can call me just Younghee. In Korea, we put our family name first. Have you ever heard about Korea? Korea is a peninsular country lying in the Far East of Asia. I tell this story later.

"Every cloud has a silver lining". I boastful you. So..I wish a penpal with you. Anyway, my introduction go on a talking without leaving any.
I am tall and thin. I have black hair and black eyes. I`m in the third grade of middle school.
I have my parents and a brother. My father is 43 years old and he is a university professor. My mother is 40 years old and she is a housewife. My brother aged 18 is a high school student.
I live in Daegu with my family. Daegu is famous for delicious apples. And the textile industry have been much developed here in Daegu.
I laugh easily at the slightest thing and I am a bit of a tomboy and I enjoy talking with my friends all the time. also, I am careless so I make at least one blunder almost everyday.
I enjoy listening to music and seeing movies. What are your hobby? In my future I`d like to be a teacher. to add to this doctor, announcer, a reporter are also nice. I have enough time choosing my occupation, I will think that by and by.
AH! let me introduce things Korea. Korea is a single-raced nation and has a long history of 5,000 years. Korea in overall size is approximately equivalent to Great Britain or the state of New York in the America. there are two Koreas in the Korean Peninsula. At the end of World War Ⅱ, Korea was divided into North and South. We have the Korean language. Korea has many interesting and unique dishes. `Kimchi` is also an indispensable food for Koreans throughout the four season, Kimchi is the most famous Korean food. It is so hot. `Bulgogi` is the one of the most popular dished in Korea and one which Westerners find very pleasing. It is generally called Korean barbecue. It is very delicious. Some foreigners have a wrong notion that Korean culture is originated from Japan but that`s not true. The reverse is the case. `Taekwondo` is a martial art of self-defense originating in Korea and spreading rapidly all over the world.
And we have two big holyday, `Seol`&`Chusok`. This days, we gather among a near relation. I will talk This story the next letter. Exactly so fun! 저희는 한국말(한글)을 사용해요.
한국에는 흥미 있고 독특한 음식이 많이 있어요.
`김치`는 4계절을 통해서 한국인에게 없어서는 안될 음식이에요. 김치는 한국 음식 중 가장 유명한 음식이지요.
`불고기`는 한국의 대표적인 음식 중 하나이며 특히 서양인들이 좋아하는 한국음식인데요. 보통 한국식 바비큐라고 합니다. 매우 맛있죠.
일부 외국인들은 한국의 문화가 일본에서 기원했다는 잘못된 생각을 갖고 있어요. 그러나 그것은 사실이 아닙니다. 그 반대예요.
태권도는 한국에서 태어난 자기 방어를 위한 무술로, 전 세계에 급속도로 퍼지고 있지요.
그리고 우리는 두 개의 큰 명절 `설`과 `추석`을 지냅니다. 이 날에는 가까운 친척들끼리 모인답니다.
